Hi folks,
It’s been a big weekend—Halloween, and my son Mason turned two, and I had lunch with Martin Luther King III yesterday. No kidding.
Our conversation ranged from talking about our toddlers (he has a two-year-old daughter, Yolanda), to India (we’ve both spent some time there in the last year) to, of course, politics.

Some of the things we talked about have been tugging on me, and when I tried to write about it, I found that I kept wanting to be *talking* about it instead, so I tried my hand at a video blog, or vlog, as they’re apparently sometimes called. Here are the fruits of my efforts during Mason’s nap time. Hope you find something useful here.

Thanks for checking out my musings, and for being the kind of person who cares enough to think about this stuff, and therefore—obviously—to vote.
Peace,
David

David,
thank you for your vlog. Definitely went to early voting. Today was an exciting day. Although many have their disagreements…at least we all agree on trying to make this nation a better place right? I hold on to such hope.
Thank you for continuing to live out your convictions on peacemaking. It’s encouraging for those around you.
Thank you,
C

I have voted since the day I was eligible. I’d never thought about my one vote counting for more than simply my one vote. Thank you for that perspective!
As for the “No whining”, I couldn’t agree more!!

My votes are in! (Gotta love California’s mail-in ballot policy!)

Thanks for your vlog on democracy. I watched it with my 9-year-old son and it had an impact. God bless you and your family.
