I’m thrilled to have received the word that my song “September Me,” from this year’s release, Still, was tied for #1 as the most played song on folk radio in September, 2022!
It’s an honor to share that slot with the legendary Canadian folksinger James Keelaghan. Folk Alliance International compiles the data, and just put this chart out:
The album charts from FAI had the whole record at #12 (up from #15 in August), and that’s pretty awesome, too!
Still also came in at #20 on the NACC charts (North American College and Community Radio) for September. It’s wonderfully affirming to know that that many DJs thought the album was strong enough to put in the mix.
If you listen to folk radio, feel free to call them up and make requests! 🙂 And if you haven’t picked up the record yet, here’s the link where you can download it, or order a CD or pre-order a vinyl album.

Hi David- I met you on the plane May years ago, and just came across your card while going through a lot of stuff accumulated of the 54 years of my tenure at Fabco- we sold the company to Festo, the second largest pneumatic company in the world, and I was just retired on Dec31- i really had a lot of opportunity in those years and met many interesting people , you being one of them- I had a flashback when I came across your very stark card again , and smiled- you may remember I told you that I owned( cared for is the right words) Duane Allman’s ‘57 Les Paul Goldtop- well a few years back, I was approached by rock and roll auction house, and it did sell for a tidy sum- you can look up duane Allman 57 Goldtop auction- just wanted to say hi , and I’m still around – just need to find another outlet for my energy- scot

Good to hear from you, Scot! Thanks for checking in. What a remarkable thing to have had Duane Allman’s ’57 Les Paul for a time. Good stuff! I hope our paths will cross again someday, and good luck clearing out the rest of the business cards! 🙂
