David’s first recording project, Barefoot, sold so much better than expected that he decided to go ahead and take the plunge and record a ‘real record’ on CD in 1992. At that time there still weren’t many independent artists recording on CD, so it was a bold, exciting and scary project. David hooked up with Van Atkins to engineer the project in his basement studio in Weaverville, NC.
